The practical part of training on the Basics of sailing course and Advanced course Sailing skills and navigation is held on ten-metre-long school sailboats.
The boat equipment is consistent with the course program that includes acquiring skills and crew coordination in basic sailing maneuvers and operations. Procedures for changing sail configurations are conducted with switching the types of frontal sails and the compression of the mainsail, with no help of a mechanism for retracting sails. The boat characteristics and equipment are secondary to the purpose of the school boat.
