Getting used to several days’ sailing – sailing against insomnia
Every coast, if separated by sea from the opposite coast, raises sailors who wish to sail to that opposite coast. The Adriatic Sea is perfect for raising such sailors since the Adriatic coasts are only 70 miles apart. Therefore the Adriatic Sea is the perfect training ground for the training of offshore sailing.
Cruising to Italy and back, except that at the end you will have more miles in your logbook and gain more experience at sea, you will see and walk through a small town called Vieste, see what is life like in a reciprocal Adriatic town in Italy and if you are lucky you will see the sunset in the sea!
The goal of the course: the participants will learn about organisation of living on board during several days’ of sailing, which implies adapting to living and working with other people, in a relatively small space, and with special attention to forseeable situations in which that tolerance is put to the test: bad weather conditions, sleeplessness and extreme strain.

Advanced sailing skills; completed Coastal sailing and cruising or Sailing skills and navigation course or equivalent skills acquired in another school or otherwise (we reserve the right to assess your skills)

Participants are required to check in on Saturday at 6:00 pm.Official start of the program is on Sunday at 9:00 am.
All participants get a certificate as a recognition of participation and a logbook as a record of acquired skills, nautical miles sailed and weather conditions.
Sailing route depends on the wind and sea conditions and is subject to change. Safety first!
Sailing gloves, two pairs of non-slip shoes or sneakers, T-shirts and long sleeve shirts, short and long pants, strong sunscreen, a cap or a hat, sunglasses, towels, personal hygiene items, bathing suit, towels, mosquito repellent.If you are sailing during colder months, please bring a warm, waterproof jacket, pants and a sleeping bag.
